“Excellent Dental Care From A Team Of Dedicated Professionals”

Cosmetic Treatments

We have many years of experience providing cosmetic dentistry.

Whether you require subtle changes or major repairs, we are able to help you to improve your smile!

There are many techniques and options to treat teeth that are discolored, chipped, misshapen or missing. We can close spaces, restore worn or short teeth or alter the length of your teeth.

Common procedures include bleaching, bonding, crowns and veneers.

However we are always mindful that the most important fact is that your teeth are as strong and healthy as possible. We would never advise treatment that we felt would be harmful or affect the longevity of your teeth.

We will always discuss every option available with honesty. The most expensive treatments are not necessarily the most appropriate.

If crowns or veneers are to be considered we can ask our Wimpole Street technician to set up a “mock” build of your proposed new teeth up on a plaster model of your mouth demonstrating the changes that can be attained- so that you know exactly how your teeth will look after treatment.

We will discuss the colour, shape and character of your new smile.

Bonding

Bonding is tooth-colored material used to fill in gaps or change the color of teeth. Often requiring a single visit, bonding lasts several years. Bonding is more susceptible to staining or chipping than other forms of restoration, but it is sometimes the most conservative.

Veneers

Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain or plastic placed over the front teeth to change the color or shape of your teeth. Veneers are used on teeth with uneven surfaces or are chipped, discolored, oddly shaped, unevenly spaced or crooked. Veneers are used to treat some of the same problems as bonding.

Veneers have a longer life expectancy and color stability than bonding.

Crowns

Crowns can be used to improve the appearance of your teeth, but it would be very unusual for us to advise that healthy teeth are crowned.

If your teeth are very damaged or discoloured then crowns may be the only solution, and may also provide protection if the teeth are structurally weak.
